Because of that love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place. Jesus was without sin, yet He bore our sins on the cross and suffered the judgment we deserved. Then He rose from the dead and conquered death.
Forgiveness and eternal life cannot be earned. They are God’s gifts, received by turning from sin and placing your faith in Jesus Christ.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

The Prayer Is Not a Formula
Repeating certain words does not save us—Jesus saves us. This prayer is simply a way to express sincere repentance and faith in Him.
If you are ready to turn to Christ, and pray honestly:
“Dear Heavenly Father,
I know that I am a sinner, and I need Your forgiveness.
I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose from the dead.
I turn from my sins and place my trust in You.
Lord Jesus, come into my heart and life. I receive You as my Savior and choose to follow You as my Lord.
Guide me and help me live for You from this day forward.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Jesus Christ Is Alive
You are not giving your life to a dead teacher. Jesus Christ is alive.
The risen Christ offers you a new beginning, a reason for living, and the hope of eternal life. He will give you a new direction to follow and a song of praise to sing.
Through Him, you can begin to understand where you came from, why you are here, and where you are going.
What Comes Next?

- Begin reading the Gospel of John.
- Speak with God in prayer every day.
- Find a Bible-believing church where you can worship and grow.
- Tell a mature Christian about your decision.
- Trust God’s promise rather than depending upon your feelings.
Salvation is a gift of grace—not a reward for good works. Everyone who calls upon the Lord in faith will be saved (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–13).
