Do You Need to Hear From God Right Now?
Something brought you here. Come before God now. He has promised to hear you.
You don't have to have the right words.
Maybe you’re waiting on an answer. Maybe you’re carrying something you haven’t said out loud yet. Maybe it’s just been quiet for too long, and you need to know He’s still there.
That longing isn’t a mistake. It isn’t weakness.
Before anything else—breathe. Let your shoulders drop. You don’t have to already understand what’s happening. You just have to come.
He has promised.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
— Matthew 7:7–8 (NIV)
That is not a maybe. It’s a promise.
It doesn’t mean the answer will always come the way you expect, or as quickly as you want. But when you seek God, you are not reaching into silence. He hears you. He responds. And learning to recognize what He is giving you is part of learning to walk with Him.
If it takes more than once, you're in good company.
When the Lord first called Samuel, Samuel heard Him—but didn’t recognize who was speaking. He went to Eli instead. It happened again. And again.
It was Eli who finally understood what was happening and taught Samuel how to respond:
“Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening.”
— 1 Samuel 3:9 (NIV)
Samuel wasn’t failing to hear God. He was learning to recognize Him.
If it takes you more than one try to recognize His voice, you’re in good company. That’s not a failure of faith. That’s simply how listening is learned.
This is a place to seek.
The King David Prayer Experience is a simple, guided way to come before God—modeled on the rhythm David used to pour out his heart, grow still, and listen.
It takes about five minutes. There’s nothing to download and nothing to sign up for. Just a quiet space to come as you are.
Whatever He gives you today—a clear word, a quiet peace, or simply the knowledge that you came and He met you there—comes because He is faithful to His promise, not because you found the right technique.
If what you're carrying has a name, start here.
Sometimes you know exactly what brought you here. A marriage that’s hurting. Grief you can’t shake. Fear about what comes next. A decision you don’t know how to make. Loneliness. Illness. Loss. Questions about your purpose.
Whatever you’re carrying, you can bring it before the Lord.

Before you go — write it down.
Write down what stirred, even if nothing feels resolved. A verse that caught you. A feeling you can’t quite name. A question you’re still carrying.
Not because the moment has to be dramatic to count. But because “seek and you will find” is a promise stretched over your whole life, not just the next five minutes—and one day, looking back at what you wrote today, you may see exactly how He answered.
Keep walking with Him.
This moment doesn’t have to end here. Keep bringing what you’re carrying before the Lord. Keep listening. Keep testing what you receive against Scripture. And keep writing down what He gives you.
Fellowship with God is not built in a single moment. It’s a life of coming back to Him again and again.
